It was 8 am when I was waiting for the bus to leave for yonphula, the day was indeed very refreshing. The sun has risen above the brangzung phu(local name for the mountain) and beautiful patterns of clouds was formed. At that time i saw a rainbow but it was a unusual thing. The rainbow in science is said to be formed due to the combination of water droplets and light under certain conditions. From Buddhist point of view, a rainbow signifies good omen, especially the morning rainbow. According to elders they say that the length of the rainbow also signifies the specialty, short rainbows are considered more important than the usual arch shaped ones.
looking at that rainbow made me recollect the memories of my grandmother, whenever she would see this unusual rainbow she would fold her hands and pray. For some people a rainbow could be nothing but for someone like us,

short rainbow appeared in the morning of 23rd Feb. |
a rainbow could be an inspiration to offer prayers for the sentient beings. That day i realized that i have inherited that quality from her.
